In Work. In Sport. In Life.
Conditions & Syndromes
Below I have listed a variety of different musculoskeletal (msk) issues I have been trained to provide treatment for.
Tennis Elbow
Tennis Elbow and Golfers Elbow carries the term "lateral / medial epicondylitis" It is an inflammatory response at the joint capsule and responds well to manual therapy and addressing the root cause that led to it.
Piriformis syndrome
Piriformis syndrome takes on the same disabling symptoms as Sciatica however the origin of the problem is muscular versus pathology of the nerve.
Frozen Shoulder
Adhesive Capsulitis is a very difficult condition for the individual. It is however, best treated with manual therapy, appropriate guidance on how to manage between sessions and patience. If you are suffering with this condition, you have my empathy and professional support to guide you out.
Lordosis / Kyphosis
Although not treatable, manual therapy can help improve the weakened side of the curve and manage range of motion on the reduced side of the curve.
Stress Fracture
Stress Fractures can occur when too much load is placed on a weight bearing joint too suddenly, too soon. Managing the pain with manual therapy and navigating a way forward on how to avoid reoccurrence will serve you well
Achillies Tendinitis
Just with any tendon inflammation the cause of why its present is good to address first followed by remedial work, manual therapy and rehabilitation for the Achilles tendon itself.
Muscle Strain
From Grade 1 to Grade 3 Strains recovery is achieved by treating the tear followed by a robust rehabilitation programme that is designed specific to your injury.
Grade 1 estimates 4-6 weeks
Grade 2 estimates 6 - 8 weeks
Grade 3 estimates 8-12 weeks
Ligament Sprain
Ligament sprain can affect a larger proportion of the joint and healing time is subject to severity. Time and Patience is the key component here and I will keep focus, guidance and interest peaked until you reach a full recovery.
